Prof. Cohen Eliahu Faculty of Engineering From Quantum Foundations to Optical Quantum Technologies Research Areas • Computation • Sensing • Imaging and communication based on quantum optics • Fundamental questions in quantum mechanics and quantum field theory Abstract We study various topics related to fundamental questions in quantum science, as well as emerging quantum technologies. We attempt to detect better, quantify, characterize, and utilize unique quantum resources such as entanglement, discord, irrealism and contextuality in the pursuit of novel computation, communication, and sensing protocols. The primary tool we use throughout our exploration is quantum optics. With this schematic setup, we demonstrated for the first time an entanglement-preserving measurement of the entire Bell parameter on a single photon pair [Quantum Sci. Technol. 9 (2024) 045027].
